Blue Heron Books is a wonderful book store. Hardwood floors, comfy chairs and the best book selection you could ask for. Shelley and her wonderful staff know every book in the place, and can help you find exactly what you’re looking for–even if you don’t know what it is yet. Blue Heron is one of my favourite places to visit. —

A whole new chapter is on the horizon as Blue Heron stretches it wings to open The Blue Heron Studio. An adjunct to the store, the new facility will provide opportunities for artists of all types to hone, teach, and acquire skills. It will be a hub for the artistic community in the same way the store is a hub for all things literary.
The studio will serve the arts community and the community at large as it embraces the artist realm.
We have always thought outside the box when it comes to Blue Heron Books. The studio will offer a new dimension and it will illustrate how adept we are at stepping outside the books.
