CBA LIBRIS BOOKSELLER OF THE YEAR - 2012

The unpretentious atmosphere of Blue Heron Books with its comfy chairs, wood shelving and creaky floors lends itself to a long slow, browsing session, but under that sleepy atmosphere vibrates a strong pulse. The store has a quaint, old-fashioned look with an up tempo vibe, because there is always something happening. The store is a hub for the community and a bastion of calm chaos where everyone is welcome, even the local dogs that drop by with their owners for a treat from the tin kept under the front counter. 62 Brock St. W., Uxbridge, Ontario. 905-852-4282

Books and Brunch – November is a mystery!

.
On Sunday, November 20, 2011 join us for a mystery double header.
It’s not a mystery who is coming, we have lined up Robert Rotenberg and Ian Hamilton, 2 fabulous mystery writers, to be our guest authors for our November event.

The Guilty Plea – Rotenberg’s insider knowledge of the behind-the-scenes courtroom machinations and his mesmerizing trial scenes make this another scorching page-turner.

The Water Rat of Wanchai – East meets West and white-collar crime meets the global criminal underworld in Ian Hamilton’s action-packed new series, whose unlikely enforcer, a petite, brilliant, and beautiful young Chinese-Canadian forensic accountant, won’t soon be forgotten.

11:00 am at Wyndance Golf Club
Tickets $25 (includes full brunch)
