The spread of COVID-19 is rapidly changing the way the world operates, and we want to share with you how Blue Heron Books is responding.  

We have made many adjustments so we can serve you while mitigating risks to our customers and staff during this time.

We are taking proactive steps. We have increased our cleaning frequency of high contact touchpoints in the store. We are consistently checking and complying with the regulations set out by the Government of Canada.  

Our store hours are currently:

Monday - Sunday:  11-4:00



 

Your health, our health, and the health of our community is always our top priority. We also recognize that we offer the very items – books, puzzles, games and arts & craft materials– that you need to make your home an inviting home base while so many other “go-to” places are closed.

 

We closed to the public on Saturday, December 26, 2020, and returned to curbside pickup as per Ontario government directive.  We continue with all safety protocols in place.  You can be assured that all of your books are clean and have only been touched by sanitized hands!

 

We encourage customers to shop online, particularly using our lists and filters to help narrow their search.  If you are looking for recommendations give us a call and we would be happy to do a virtual walkthrough of the store. We offer curbside pickup as well as delivering locally, for free, to families who are in quarantine due to illness, vulnerability or recent travel. Big thanks to all our customers for your ongoing support via orders coming into the store the past many months.
